Eat Featured

Terms of use

Last updated 22 September 2026.

Eat Featured is a map of restaurants that have been featured on food television and by food creators on social media. These are the terms for using it. They're written plainly on purpose, and they're short because the site is simple: you look at a map, you read about places, and sometimes you tell us about one.

What the site is

Eat Featured tells you that a restaurant appeared on a particular show or in a particular creator's post, roughly when, and what was ordered if the source said so. That's the whole claim. We don't rate restaurants, we don't take money from them to be listed, and a listing is not a recommendation — it's a record that someone with a camera went there.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with any television network, show, streaming service, host, or creator. Show names, network names, and creator names appear on the site to identify where a restaurant was featured, the same way a newspaper names a show when reviewing it. Those names are the trademarks of their owners. None of them has endorsed this site.

We are not affiliated with any restaurant. Restaurants don't pay to appear and can't pay to be removed. If you run a restaurant that's listed and something is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Things can be wrong, and that's on you to check

We work hard on freshness — it's the reason the site exists — but restaurants close, move, change hands, and change hours without telling us. Specifically:

If you plan a trip around a listing, verify the place directly first. We aren't responsible for a wasted drive, a closed door, or a meal that didn't match the episode.

Using the site

You can use Eat Featured for personal, non-commercial planning of where to eat. Please don't:

We're a small operation and we'll enforce these by the simplest means available — usually by blocking the traffic.

What you send us

When you suggest a restaurant, you're giving us the right to use what you send — the restaurant, the show, the dish, your note — to research and, if it checks out, publish a listing. We may edit it, combine it with other sources, or decide not to use it. You won't be paid for it and we won't credit you by name unless you ask and we agree. Don't send anything you don't have the right to send, and don't send personal information about other people.

How we handle your email address and the rest is in the privacy notice; it's part of these terms.

Our content

The way listings are written, the site's design, the "Eat Featured" name and logo, and the organisation of the catalogue are ours. The underlying facts — that a restaurant exists at an address and appeared on a show — aren't anyone's property, and we don't claim them. Map tiles are © OpenStreetMap contributors; venue locations come from Google Maps or from the Overture Maps Foundation (overturemaps.org), whose attribution page names each record's source and licence; routing and geocoding are © openrouteservice by HeiGIT, with data from OpenStreetMap, OpenAddresses, GeoNames, and Who's On First; those attributions appear on the pages that use them and carry their own licences.

No warranties, limited liability

The site is provided as-is. We don't promise it will be accurate, complete, available, or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using it or relying on it — including the cost of a trip to a place that turned out to be closed. Where the law doesn't allow us to exclude a liability, it's limited to the amount you paid us to use the site, which is nothing.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll change the date at the top and say what changed on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.

On 22 September 2026: we took out the line saying opening hours come from third-party data, because we don't show hours; and we named the Overture Maps Foundation as a source of venue locations, beside Google Maps.

Where disputes go

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute belongs in the courts there. If you're somewhere that gives you consumer rights we can't override, you keep them.
